Through the aperture
Now released for purchase, a limited series of 6 unique handwoven works.
Margo thinks a lot about optical effects, and plays with off-kilter symmetry, pulling-focus and perspectives. This series of studies are each an ‘aperture’, an opening to let in light. Focused vision, and the sensations of colour, are explored – rays of light in yarn.
Experimenting with scale
Vexillum Studies are woven by hand using a lampas technique on a dobby loom. Intimate in scale, these studies form part of the larger body of work, Vexillum.
Geometric pattern is made macro in the fractal compositions, expanding infinitely – the forms project and recede, creating a sensation of dynamism.
