Handweaving is at the heart of everything we do, our woven designs are recognisable for their complex structure, striking colour and graphic pattern. We create beautifully crafted, contemporary fabrics for a range of textile applications.
A special collaboration project to celebrate British Wool’s 75th anniversary, the Field Blanket uses 100% British wool from Shepley Yarns, located in the Pennine Hills of Northern England.
The project champions local sheep farmers and the beautiful spectrum of vibrant shades available in British wool.
Margo Selby’s works are collected and exhibited worldwide. She accepts commissions to create bespoke artworks for site-specific installations.

Represented by Cynthia Corbett Gallery, Margo Selby returns to Collect Art Fair, with moon landing; her first site-specific installation, created in collaboration with composer Helen Caddick.
moon landing is an immersive artwork comprising a hand woven textile, 16 meters in height by Margo Selby, and a newly composed musical piece scored for strings by Helen Caddick. The textile art is suspended within the 5-story void of Somerset House's Stamp Stairwell, viewable in-the-round as you ascend and descend the winding stairs.

To mark the 60th birthday of the iconic British design and retail brand Habitat, Margo Selby was invited to be a guest designer alongside industry icons including Sebastian Conran, Felix Conran and Tord Boontje, to design a capsule collection for their 60th anniversary range.
Margo’s collection of textiles and lighting draws inspiration from the Habitat archive, particularly the graphic, primary aesthetic from the brand’s archive from the 70s & 80s.
Margo’s guiding principle for her practice is ‘Art Into Industry.’ Alongside her handweaving, she continues to oversee the work of the Margo Selby textile design studio with industry partners for the production of a wide range of textile applications.

Margo Selby rugs are hand-produced in India by highly skilled artisans. Our studio works directly with communities of dyers, weavers, tufters, and knotters in longstanding partnerships. Margo regularly travels to India to meet with our rug makers, and we are proud to work with these traditional craftspeople.
Suitable for all levels from complete beginners through to advance weavers who may want to look at their work with a fresh approach or learn a new technique.
