Pile Composition: rPET
Our Flatweave rugs, known as Kelim flat-woven rugs without a pile, are handwoven on a horizontal ground loom using either 100% wool or 100% recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (rPET) yarn made from plastic bottles, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Bobbins are passed back and forth to create inlaid motifs using a traditional rug-making technique that results in a lighter-weight, practical, and beautiful rug.
Please note: Due to the handmade nature of our rugs, slight variations in size may occur, with a 5% tolerance.

Rug Care + Underlay
We advise customers purchase our Rug Underlay to prevent their rug from creasing and slipping, whether it is placed on a carpet or a hard surface.
An underlay also increases the longevity of a rug by cushioning it. It protects against transference of dark colours or fibres from the back of the rug onto light coloured flooring or carpet underneath.
All of our rugs and underlay are suitable for underfloor heating.
