5-Day Creative Weaving Workshop | Margo Selby Studio

¥204,500

March & November 2026 | Now Available to Book

Margo Selby Studio is pleased to announce a 5-Day Creative Weaving Workshop at our Whitstable studio. This immersive course is designed to give participants as much hands on time as possible working on the looms, supported by guidance from Margo and the studio team.

The workshop is suitable for weavers of all levels, from complete beginners to more experienced practitioners looking to refresh their approach, develop new ideas, or explore different techniques in a supportive studio environment.

5-Day Creative Weaving Workshop

Throughout the week, participants will work on a range of studio looms, set up to explore different techniques and ideas. Looms will be used in rotation, allowing students to experiment with a variety of structures and approaches.

As part of the course, Margo will lead a dedicated colour and design session using yarn windings. This session explores how colours interact and blend, informing warp and weft selection, and introduces key principles of colour theory, stripe and repeat within woven textiles.

By the end of the workshop, students will have a collection of hand-woven samples to keep and refer to, along with ideas for finishing and future development. On the final afternoon, work will be cut from the looms and discussed as a group.

Weavers who wish to explore a specific technique may bring their own table loom. We are happy to help with the set up during the week and ensure you are ready to weave. Please contact the studio in advance so we can advise and plan accordingly. If there is a particular technique you are keen to explore, do let us know and we will endeavour to support this where possible.

Terms + Conditions apply, please see in details below.
