Nexus Place 25 Farringdon Street, London
Margo’s VEXILLUM I, II and III is now installed in the atrium of NEXUS, on Farringdon Street in London. Visible from the pavement through large windows, VEXILLUM greets visitors, occupants and passersby, like a fanfare. It looks amazing in this space – enlivening and activating – whilst also bringing a softening and warming effect of handwoven thread to the hard architecture of glass, steel and concrete.

The triptych was first exhibited at COLLECT, the Crafts Council International Art Fair, in London earlier this year. It was presented in a very different way in the intimate space of Somerset House, as an immersive installation, panels closely hung at right angles to each other to form a booth, or a chapel as we saw it. Margo won the COLLECT OPEN AWARD 2020, and started the initial conversation with Brookfield Properties, a key sponsor of the Crafts Council.
