Vela Rug | Returnable Sample
We offer returnable (and refundable) samples of our rugs for both our trade and retail customers. These samples are presented in a 1:1 scale, offering a section of the design's intricate details.
Sample size: 95cm x 65cm
The cost of the sample (excluding shipping) will be refunded upon it being returned to our Whitstable studio within 6 weeks. We advise customers to use a tracked postal service.
The Vela hand knotted rug is a playful, large scale linear design in a bright colourway. This statement rug draws on the studio’s continued fascination with typography, experimenting with letter forms to create an abstract composition.

Craftsmanship: Hand Knotted (60 knots per square inch)
Pile Composition: 100% Wool
Hand Knotted – Our hand knotted rugs are constructed on a warp using a traditional asymmetrical knotting technique; this creates a premium quality long-lasting rug, with intricate design detail. The motifs can be hand-carved to create a 3-dimensional profile. Hand knotted rugs are of the finest quality and tend to be weighty and floppy in structure.
Underlay + Rug care
An underlay provides cushioning that increases the longevity of a rug; we advise customers to use a good quality anti-slip underlay, for this reason, and to prevent a rug from creasing and slipping, whether on a carpet or a hard floor. Underlay also protects the floor covering beneath from transference of colours or fibres from the back of the rug.

Shipping and returns
UK Delivery
UK retail orders are charged £3.95, with FREE shipping on purchases over £100. We aim to dispatch in-stock items within 2 to 4 working days.
International Delivery
International retail orders are sent with DDP (Delivery Duty Paid), meaning that taxes and duties are included in the final price. Delivery charges are weight based and are confirmed at checkout.
Returns
In-stock items may be returned by customers for a full refund within 14 days of receiving your order.
Please note, for hygiene reasons, opened bedding cannot be returned.
