Fibonacci features a mesmerizing undulating motif in greens and blues, with a dart of pink, densely woven in pure wool. The beauty of mathematical pattern is expressed with a bold graphic style.

Fibonacci was the winning design by University of Huddersfield student Louisa Knapp, for the Campaign For Wool Student Competition 2020. It is a limited production cloth for the Margo Selby Studio, available as both cushions and fabric meterage. Responding to the brief set by Margo Selby and Alternative Flooring, Louisa entitled her submission ‘Stay at Home’, and her timely design was born out of the new realities that national lockdown presented. The project addressed the shift towards working-from-home and – with the concurrent (and arguably linked) environmental crisis – the urgent need for symbiosis between the natural environment and our working environment, in the micro and macrocosm.
