The Margo Selby studio produces an evolving in-house collection of in-stock and woven-to-order fabrics, and specialises in designing and producing bespoke fabrics for residential and commercial projects.

Fabric Types

Margo Selby fabrics are woven in highly specialist mills, each one selected for their expertise and craftsmanship.

Our design and production team go through an extensive sampling process finessing each unique fabrics features, specific to the end usage, textural quality or finish - our fabrics are created to endure aesthetically and functionally.

Textured double cloth

Margo Selby’s signature structure. These jacquard fabrics that use a heat-shrink yarn to achieve an embossed texture.

Sateen Jacquard

This cloth features a smooth flat surfaces with a light lustre, achieved through satin and sateen weave structures.
The fabric is robust with a certain stiffness resulting in a beautiful drape

Matt Jacquard

A stitched double-cloth woven with a smooth, flat, matt surface.

Chenille

Durable, heavyweight cloth featuring contrasting textures with a velvety surface.
Motifs are defined with an embossed surface achieved by the varying cut pile.

Wool

Natural, renewable and biodegradable.
We choose wool for its luscious feel, its practical hardwearing properties and its sustainability as a fabric – it is our choice for upholstery.

A durable, yet soft cut pile fabric that is characterised by motifs defined by the varying cut pile.

Needlepoint Jacquard

Inspired by the Lampas weaving technique that Margo uses to make her handwoven artworks. These highly durable fabrics feature bold colour blocks with a needlepoint texture.

Upholstery

Margo Selby upholstery fabrics are distinguished by their unique textures and often large-format repeats.

We are able to produce fabrics that meet your project specificifiations. Abraison test results are available on most of our fabrics.

We are specialists in woven fabrics that have unique texture and pattern properties. This makes our fabrics ideal for adding texture, warmth and interest into any interior.
