The Vexillum blanket is a large scale design woven in a contrasting palette. The design takes details from Margo’s handwoven artworks, carefully juxtaposing different stripes alongside one another in a traditional quilt pattern.

Our tapestry blankets are made using a highly versatile Jacquard weaving technique which allows the blanket to be treated as a canvas. Each blanket is woven in a mill that specialises in creating highly detailed, custom tapestries on modern day Jacquard looms maintained by highly skilled weavers. The weaving uses a clever system of blending a set palette of colours, using different weave structures to create an impressively wide palette. The weave structures used are beautiful in themselves, adding texture to the design. 

Woven in 95% cotton, including 25% recycled cotton to create a throw that is both soft and durable.  

Each blanket arrives packaged in a unique hand-crafted patchwork dust-bag, using our fabric collection remnants. It's part of our zero-waste aim and a beautiful way to package these special blankets.
